Final report of the Museum shipping

We rode on the boat “the Happy Days”, which is made out of steel. It measures 38,78 meters length and 5,02 meters of width. When empty its draught is 1,42 meters.
We sailed on the Seine, which starts at Langres. Its length is 776 kilometers, it empties into the English Channel. It crosses Paris and Rouen. The bridge located on arrival of the river is called the bridge of Normandy.

A little vocabulary:
Upstream: towards the source,
Downstream: towards the sea or the valley,
Meanders: turns of river,
Port side: on the left while looking forwards boat,
Starboard: on the right while looking forwards boat,
A head room is the height active of the level of water at the point more with boat (the part apart from water) the draught is the height going of the water level at the point low of the boat (left under water)
Thus the head room + the draught is equal to the height of the boat

Differences between the barge and the motorized one:
The barge does not have an engine, it is made out of wood and does not have a propeller. The motorized one has an engine.
